Abnormal sweating?

I know this sounds really gross but i need to know whats happening. im a 14 year old girl and have this abnormal sweating problem. Out of nowhere, my hands and feet will start to sweat, constantly. it can be a cold sweat or a warm one, but still, i have no idea what it is. even weirder, when i put socks and sneakers on, my feet stop sweating. can someone please tell me what's wrong with me?

Abnormal sweating?
You may be suffering from hyperhidrosis. I suffer from this and have been since I was 13. Hyperhidrosis is excessive sweating unrelated to heat. As you described, you will sweat even when it is cold outside. My dermatologist told me this condition was genetic. I had hand, armpit, and feet sweating. It would get so bad, that I was embarassed to shake someone's hand or even be seen out in public because I would have dark sweat stains on my shirt. There are many treatments for this including pills, botox injections, and even surgery. I don't know how bad your sweating is or if it is causing you any public embarassment, but I'd speak with a dermatologist. My doctor said it was partially hormonal which explains why you and I started sweating around puberty. I take Ditropan XL which is an anticholineric drug that is used to treat over active bladder. I don't have that condition but the side effect of the med. causes a decrease in sweating. I'm 21 yrs old and have been taking it since I was 13. Speak to your doctor about what's right for you.
Reply:benadryl is also another over the counter anticholinergic, it has crappy side effects. but it really dries out your system alot. also, in addition to hyperhydrosis,, diaphoresis is what this is also called. dont drink too much ginger ale or ginger in foods, this is a diaphoretic. Report It

Reply:You sound like you need to see a doctor for either circulation problems. Everybody has hot %26amp; cold reactions and say put on a sweater because they are cold like me when it rains or people who say it's too hot when it's 60% outside %26amp; they use to live in Alaska. It's body temperature %26amp; what are bodies take and don't take. See someone on your circulation (esp because you but socks or gloves on %26amp; it stops %26amp; possibly an endocronologist your hormeones may be way off. It's like getting a bad hotflash and it's already 90 degress out. It happens %26amp; good luck!!
