Sweating problem!?

recently i have been sweating a lot, all in my armpits. its very embarrassing and i cant get it to stop. it started when i was about 10 and I'm now 12. i just started sweating for no reason. even when i am cold i sweat. i have tried at least 5 different antiperspirants and none make a difference. i have even tried certindri (recommended by someone on another question about sweating). its clinical strength and is supposed to work for 76 hours. i have tried putting on just a little to see if that worked and iv tried putting on alot. nothing works. recently i have tried hiding it by wearing a jacket all day to provide as an extra layer of protection and it worked the first day but now it only makes me uncomfortably hot (my math class is like a million billion degrees). does anyone have a suggestion for me so i can raise my arms to answer a question or reach down to get my pencil when i drop it or wave high to someone without looking like my elbows are connected to my sides?

Sweating problem!?
My sister had the same problem and it was SO embarassing for her - she could only wear certain colored clothes otherwise the sweat patches would be too noticable.

She had botox injections under each arm about 2 months ago and now doesn't really even need to wear deoderant..... BUT you are only 12 so I don't know if that's a great option for someone so young.
Reply:I am sorry to say that I can not give you answer as to why you sweat so much. What I can tell you is that you should talk to your parents and then go see a doctor.

Sweating pores on face?

This may sound odd but I have hyperhydrosis (sp?) which is basically overactive sweat glands. This question may pertain to the hyperhydrosis but I'm not entirely sure. Sometimes when I eat rich foods or a lot of chocolate or spicy/hot foods my nose sweats excessively and I have to wipe my face. I've never been to a dermatologist or anything and it doesn't happen too often to be a severe problem for me. I have blackheads on my nose that aren't necessarily excessive or anything and the sweating thing doesn't seem to interfere with them or make it worse, etc. Any ideas on either how to stop the sweating from occurring or facial treatments of sorts? Thanks!

Sweating pores on face?
That's good, that way you loose lots of sweat and loose weight as well if you are worried about that - don't know if you're male or female.

My dad sweats a lot, and has is little cloth to wipe is face.

Are you very stressed person or like hyper?

Drink lots of water, and also find your best ways of face creams. Some face creams like Clinic can 'flatten' the 3 dimantional spots of blackheads and keeps your face clean, smooth and not moist or sweat.

here check your style if you are male or female

Reply:I'm offering four suggessions, follow them and your problem should get reduced.

On one hand sweating is good that it cleans the surface and provides the protection from heat - that is why these glands are there for. but, on the other hand, if it sweats a lot, it can take away a lot of nutrients along and you should take an extra dose of minerals to accomodate the excessive flush.

You should avoid the oily/ fattening food specially if you have a sedentary life. Totally stop the intake of fatty midmeals, which spoils your appetite and is also bad for the heart and skin health. This will to some extent reduce the problem of black heads on your nose and sweating due to pressure on your stomach.

If, you apply makeup on your face - which doesn't seem to be the case (made up faces don't sweat as the pores get clogged though black heads can result from it) - then make sure you wipe it off before going to the bed.

It (oversweating) is not as much a problem of epidermis (outermost layer of the skin) but the surface below that, i have a friend who underwent a successful treatment with Homeopathic medication. Consult one.

Excessive sweating?

I'm like only 12 and I keep sweating like WAY too much in my underarms. it is really embaressing. i am really self conscious about it too. i wear colors that sweat wont show through even two shirts. but it still goes through sometimes. even when its not even hot i sweat. i am so frustrated. I am so desperate for a solution. I have soccer and p.e. to worry about too and i keep hoping my sweat doesn't show and i wear jackets over shirts when its obviously way too hot for one. i am so sick of life right now. the last thing i need is a sweating problem. im too embaressed to tell anyone and my only option right now is yahoo answers. that 's how depserate i am! which is sad.

Excessive sweating?
Ask your mom if you can get Botox under your arm pits... It stops sweating. I have heard of many women that do it for that reason but it is expensive.

Try baking soda baths. I have taken a bath in baking soda once a week ever since I was a child. Baking soda softens your skin, deoderizes your body and helps sweating. I have almost no body odor aside from deoderants and or perfumes and shampos.

Just put a few heaping tablespoon fulls into hot/warm bath water read a book, light a candle and enjoy the softness.
Reply:What type of deodorant/anti-perspirant do you use? Degree is very good for people who tend to perspire more than others. Also, I have heard women who sweat a lot say they use Mitchum, because it works wonders. If the anti-perspirants do not work, you might want to talk to your doctor about it. Some people have overactive glands and may need special deodorant/anti-perspirants to help control the excess moisture.
Reply:I'm guessing you use antipersperant. There is a difference between deoderant and antipersperant. My sister in law also has a sweating under the pits problem. I think the strongest antipersperant she has found to keep the problem at bay is Mitcheum. Go to walgreens or something and ask the pharmasist.
Reply:It seems like you have extra sweat glands and they are working at full speed. Their are doctor treatments to reduce sweating. I would definetly ask your doctor, don't be shy. Would you rather be sweaty for the rest of your life or take precautions. Maybe try some different kinds of deoderant, but definetly tell your parents about it. And say it's really embaressing and start to cry and they'll take you to the doctor.
Reply:There are products you can buy for this - I recommend Drysol. You apply to your underarms befor bed. Also keeping yourself hydrated is important too!
Reply:try to let some air to your underarms if you still sweat on your underarm tell your doctor adout it
Reply:Buy Certain Dri. It's sold at all drugstores. I put it on at night before I go to bed (it stings a little) Then in the morning I put on my regular deodorant. It pretty much eliminates underarm sweating if you use it everyday like this.
Reply:The best way possible way is a undershirt %26amp; One way to combat the smell is to use an antibacterial product such as Cetaphil Cleansing Bar. Then apply an antiperspirant or deodorant that contains baking soda, which neutralizes fatty acids. Because armpit hair can provide bacteria with more places to congregate, staying close shaven will help you remain sweet smelling.

But his is really bad and i know it has something to do with with the involuntary portion of your nervous system, you know it controls breathing your heart beating getting erections if your a man and sweating and a bunch of other things. I think its called the para sympathetic nervous system ne ways they are going to do something to correct it for him. If he was awake right now i would ask him good luck to you
Reply:If you need to detox your system you might sweat more than usual. I know that's what happens to me! Make sure you drink your 2l and eat your 5 for a few days, and see if that helps. You might benefit from a natural detox product, but I suggest you see a herbalist/homoeopath rather than take advice off the internet, as they can judge your situation better.

Another thing that can cause sweating is poor fitness level (which is kind of tied in with the detox thing). If you've suddenly taken a dip in your exercise levels you might find that you're sweating at minor things because your body isn't getting rid of toxins through exercise.

Excessively sweating hands..SO embarassing!?

My hands sweat, like, more than normal. They sweat when I THINK about them sweating..It's made stuff hard, like shaking hands and just touching things..like a computer mouse, and having someone touch it after I do and feel how wet it is..it's just so embarrasing /: I asked my doctor and she said some people just sweat more than others, but ugh!I need solutions..anything to make them stop sweating so much?My doctor said she had never heard of any treatments..but she'd ask..not very promising.

Excessively sweating hands..SO embarassing!?
Your doctor has never heard of treatments for overly sweaty hands? This is a very common problem so I'm really surprised she said that.

Believe it or not, anti-persperant works really well for that. There's a anti-persperant called CertainDri that you can buy at any drug store. You don't need a prescription but it's prescription-strength. I sweat a lot as well (it's really embarrassing) and this was recommended to me (on this site, actually). NOTHING else helped, but I bought this and it really, really works.

You just have to swipe it onto your hands every night and it will work really well. Pretty soon you'll only have to use it every second night or even once every few days. It doesn't wash off either.

CertainDri costs about $8 but it's worth the price. I really recommend trying it - it's worked for me when nothing else has. Good luck.
Reply:Sounds obvious, and you've probably tried it, but, try letting air get to your hands, this is the only ''natural'' way - without using sprays, medication etc for them to dry, everyones hands sweat, especially using things like a computer mouse, whilst your on the PC and using the mouse, lift your hand up slightly, not so only your fingers are on it, but just so you aren't gripping on the mouse and air can pass onto the palm of your hand.
Reply:Any other symptoms? Cold sweats? I have PCOS and before I got meds I was like that... hands sweating... worse when I didn't eat.

A dermatologist or endoctrinologist should be able to help.

Sweating control?

I'm a 25yrs asian male. I sweat very easily and I sweat alot. For example, if I play sport with my friend then I would sweat 3 times as much. I just wonder is there any pills or anything could help? This sweating problem leads to acne problem that I have had since 16 yr.

Sweating control?
I am very sorry that you have this problem. I will get back to you with the answer in a moment.

Visit the website that I have listed.

Reply:bowtox...honestly. Your dr. could explain

Sweating more.... any problems?

Okay, the weather IS hot. About 30+ where I live. But I notice that I'm sweating more starting from about last year (only counting the summer days).

For example, I walk outside for 15 minutes, and then I'd be wiping my head for another 15 mintutes.....the sweat keeps "dropping down". My underarms sweat, and front and back of course, but the sweat mostly comes from my head. My hair would get quite wet.

Is there a problem with this? I'm not overweight and don't exercise basically. Would exercise improve the situation?

Serious answers only, please. Thanks.

Sweating more.... any problems?
This is absolutely natural. If you were to come to Arizona, which is usually about 48-49 degrees Celsius over the summer, and then suddenly be teleported to the North Pole, you would most likely be sweating for a good 15 to 30 minutes while in the North Pole.

The body naturally does this because it does not immediately react to outside stimuli. Notice how long it takes you to sweat when you go from summer cold to summer hot -- and the body actually responds even faster to heat than it does cold.

EXERCISE?

If you really want to start exercising, though, I would just recommend going for a nice, morning jogs-- just something to keep the heart pumping. Other cardiovascular exercises are good too, of course, but just find something fun.

Either way, your body is doing just fine.
Reply:I don't know but that happens to me also, I sweat really hardcore, I play soccer, but I sweat more than everyone else, I posted a question about this and some people say it's bad others say it's normal.. idk
Reply:over 90 degrees if i stay in that room for more than 5 minutes i sweet like a pig and it makes me itchy

its perfectly natural some people are hot bloded 86 just an average take me for an example i run 89 constantly
Reply:Thats good actually, thats your body cooling down. Think of an air conditioner when all the water leaks out, its kind of like that. Its just cooling down your body, which means you have a great system atm. I work out daily today my shirt was filled with sweat lol. No need to worry.
Reply:It sounds to me like you have what they call: hyperhidrosis or excessive sweating...

What you can do is exercise regularly and eat small portions, yes, these things have been known to help with sweating problems.

I've had hyperhidrosis for a long time now, and I've tried a lot of antiperspirants. Most of them suck and a lot of them hurt or irritate like maxim, drysol, stuff like that...

However, I've tried this new stuff, http://www.sweating-treatment.com or megadry, that's made to be not itchy and stuff, it's awesome, I don't worry about sweating so much anymore.

I'd try a lot of stuff for your sweating problem, cause you never know what could work for you...

Facial sweating been worse than ever before! Help??

Ok, so i was once a carefree confident young lady...now i am a single mother of 2 and even though my lifestyle is quite stressful (i study full time also) it doesn't make sense how i seem to sweat excessively. Even a gentle walk, then i seem to be breaking out in a sweat. I am not unfit, i work out reguarly and am only slightly over-weight. I do get anxious when i go into shops or have to speak to people because i am aware of the facial sweating and think that everyone thinks i'm wierd coz i sweat so much. I had implanon fitted about a year ago and i'm concerned this could be aggrivating the situation as a side effect can be high blood pressure so i think may visit my doc to check my blood pressure? What do people think? Has anyone experienced sweating as a side-effect with implanon or is it my lifestyle causin the prob? Also, I will add that i always have found temp changes hard to adjust to, but over the past year or more it has worsened, i'm not sure why?

Facial sweating been worse than ever before! Help??
Ask your doctor for a check up - a possible solution could be beta blockers, thats a medication for high blood pressure ,

and also used sometimes for sweating / anxiety.Ask the doctor.

The medical term for this heavy sweating is hyperhidrosis.
Reply:you can treat it with botox. check with your GP first
Reply:I have no had that side effect and mostly they only tell you about the 'possible' side effects so you don't turn round and sue them when the reality is the chances of side effects are very small.

How old are you i don't want to freak you out or anything but maybe early menopause? i would always go back and double check with your doctor there is also a chance it could be a heart problem... best of luck though with whatever it may be!
Reply:eeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwww

I can't believe you've just told everybody that!

Reply:I am wondering if you are approaching the menopause years?

I also sweat a lot. It can be a side effect to some medications.

When I am riding a train and it is not hot out the perspiration will be rolling down my face and back. It is gross.

I sit there fanning myself. I will think, "I am at that age, so this is normal". Other people may think that is the reason, if they even notice at all.

Do not wear heavy clothing.

Leave your coat in the car when you go indoors.

You can also carry a package of those moist cloths to help keep you cool. Best Wishes.
Reply:I have the same problem, i sweat alot all over and get sweat patches in winter, i found while taking a herbal remedy for stress, this almost stopped. I am guessing it is anxiety, that is what it sounds like, you have yourself in a vicious cycle, you say you feel nervous out and about incase people see this, that stress would make it even worse. Also some people do sweat more generally and your lifestyle does seem stressful, try and find a hobby or activity you enjoy and find relaxing, that will also help!

Reply:I've just checked the side effects of Implanon, and it doesn't mention sweating.

Are you taking antidepressants? They can often cause sweating as a side effect. I would hazard a guess and say that you may be suffering from social anxiety. One of the main symptoms is sweating, which can be profuse at times. I would suggest that you see your GP, and discuss your concerns with him/her.

I have a sweating problem in which I sweat a lot?

Yesterday we had our first gym class of high school. We just did some exercises and ran around the gym, but I began to sweat crazily, and not just my armpits. My entire body was sweaty, including my armpits, my back, my neck, and especially my pubic area. I began to sweat the rest of the entire day and it just wouldn't stop. When I got home about 55 minutes later, my undershirt was damp and my briefs were drenched in sweat. My scrotum was extremely sweaty and I took a long shower after that to clean myself. Last year in gym I never sweat so much, so is this normal or do guys sweat a lot during puberty? Also, is there anyway to stop me from sweating so much?

I have a sweating problem in which I sweat a lot?
It is normal to sweat during puberty--good call.

Excessive sweating can mean an underlying health issue such as thyroid, circulatory, endocrine, etc. issue. I am not saying you are having any of those, but if your body suddenly acts differently, it is time to get a check up.

After summer vacation, you may be out of shape, nervous, stressed and warm.

Don't worry, but get a check up by your doctor or school nurse to rule out any issues, then consider seeing a dermatologist. There are products and medications to reduce the sweating when it is embarrassing. You don't have to just live with it.

It is common and treatable.
Reply:Perfectly normal although some people sweat more than others. See your Doctor or buy a product called DriClor. It stops sweating by closing pores although it can cause itching so only use it when you need it!
Reply:Did you try lowing your body temprature like turning on the A/C or Fan? but I don't think you are surpose to wet your briefs with sweat all of the sudden. Something must have gone wrong.. may be something you drank or ate... get a check up from a doctor. I don't think its normal :/
Reply:don't u just love peuberty??? -_- lol

it's normal dude

and it sucks cause there's nothing u can do about it....

just make sure to dress cooly and what i did freshman year is bring a small washcloth to wipe myself off with after gym

Why are we sweating on contact with each other?

When my boyfriend and are cuddling, and especially when we're sleeping and spooning, the area where there is skin contact is sweating profusely after about 5 minutes. For example, if he's lying behind me with his arm around me, in about 5 minutes my whole backside is sweating, and if his draped arm is around my shoulders, then my shoulder has sweat on it. This has never happened to me before, so I know it's him. But what's weird is that he doesn't have an abnormal set of sweat glands where he's sweating just standing there. Normally, he's sweating only when working out, if it's humid out, or when we've got skin contact. How can we save our cuddle life when all it does is make us sweat????

Why are we sweating on contact with each other?
Well you have to think about this ........we as humans body heat is in the 95 range right ....so when you put to heats togeather you tend to sweat......when i am with a guy and where spooing or something that happens to use to

there isent a cure for it

that all i have nothing more sorry
Reply:Usually I sweat when holding hands or with other body contact. Especially in Summer it is hard for some to cool down enough. For hands and feet I tried soaking in tea (tanic acid) that helped some. Maybe try baby powder? Report It

Sweating and acne....?

does sweating directly cause acne?? i work out alot which makes me sweat a bit but not too much...but i plan to start running alot which makes me sweat ALOT especially in this weather...ive almost gotten rid of my acne but it seems like if i start running ill sweat alot and acne will come back...is this true? how could i prevent acne when ill be sweating alot

Sweating and acne....?
When you're done working out, wash your face. Sweating is good, as it releases toxins. The problem is when you allow sweat to dry on your face after working out.

You have to attack acne where it starts, with your diet. For me, diet was the cause and solution. Topical medications fight the symptoms. Start by eliminating trans fats and eating more fruits and vegetables. Once you start cleaning up the inside of your body, by eating properly, the outside of your body (your skin) will be get cleaned up too. I started a website to document my problem and solution.

http://www.fredstown.com/

You might find it helpful to read my story. Just remember to eat an all natural/organic diet with lots of fruits and vegetables. Stay away from processed foods. Use mild, all natural cleansers and don't pick at your face. Get lots of sleep and enough water for your body weight. Remember, clean body = clean skin. While you're waiting for your skin to clear, remind yourself that acne is a challenge that you will overcome soon. Once you're rid of it, tell all your friends how you did it. That's what I'm doing. God Bless.

Reply:Sweating causes your pores to become clogged, allowing the bacteria already on your skin to start creating pimples. In order to prevent this, after every mile you run, get a wet paper towel (just water) and wipe off your face. This wipes off the sweat even if its dried, allowing oxygen to get into your pores, which will kill the bacteria. As long as you do this, you should be fine! You could also try a mattifier, which isn't always good to use, since it is for people with oily skin, who need to stop producing oil. This will cut back on some of the oil and sweat excreted, but I suggest just wiping it off, this way you dont dry out your skin. Hope this Helps!
Reply:Just make sure you wash your face immediately after you work out. Also, be sure to moisturize. Dry skin leads to overproduction of oil, which can lead to more breakouts. Arbonne has a good moisturizer with SPF 8 in their RE9 line. Check it out at the website below.
Reply:Acne is not directly related to sweat. But... for example under your arms, the reason we wear deodorant is to keep the sweat from building up in a warm dark place where bacteria can grow. From the bacteria we get the smell in the area.

Same sort of thing with acne, the sweat and warmth are favorable places for bacteria to grow and cause acne lesions to occur. Your best bet is to keep your skin free of any bacteria while sweating. Wash your face before you work out and apply a water based moisturizer with tea tree, witch hazel, or some sort of antibacterial ingredient in it. Also, immediately after you work out wash your face again to rid it of any potential bacteria.

DO NOT be tempted to touch your face with anything while working out unless it is disposable or washed with bleach before hand... this is a common cause of breaking out during a workout!

Good luck
Reply:put on body powder to keep away acne and shower directly after your workout.

Sweating and physical fitness?

Well...this is about sweat basically. I have noticed that I tend to be a moist man LOL...I sweat very easily...but it's not necessarily because I'm exerting myself physically. I don't feel short of breath and my heart isn't racing...I'm just very sweaty. And I'm a large man. First of all I was born large and have a large build...on top of that I am overweight and I'm a powerlifter/bodybuilder...so I'm a whole lot of man. I noticed that my dad sweats even more and easier than I do but he's always been what would be considered very "fit" and "in shape"....being a lifetime athlete. Some people say I sweat cuz I'm fat...others say I might have a high metabolism...others just don't know. I also wonder because I saw a guy at my school sweating an IMMENSELY INSANE degree while walking...his shirt was soaked along with his head...but he was very athletic looking...not "out of shape" in the least...and he made my DAD look dry.

So what does it all mean?

Sweating and physical fitness?
I know that sweating is a good thing, it's nothing to be ashamed of....it is a healthy thing. Excessive sweating can be a nusance but as far as health goes, from your info provided I would say that you're ok. It probably comes from your athletic nature...BTW, be proud that you are fit and in shape. Sweating comes w/ the territory of fitness:)

PS I'm a female, and I know when I sweat while working out, I'm keeping my body in shape, in health, and exercising my heart. I actually like it when I sweat...

worrying causes you to sweat, so the more you worry the more you will sweat- the deodorant i mentioned above also comes in 'baby wipe' form so you could use the deo in the mornin and take the wipes with u for when ur out just incase. peace of mind that something works wil reduce the sweating also

Reply:Go to the chemist and ask for 'Driclor'. It is a very strong anti perspirent. It is not nice to use but it works really well. Ask you doctor to prescribe it for you because it is about 8 pounds and you should still get your prescriptions free. Alternatively, I have heard botox injections in the arm pits also work, but obviously this is expensive!
Reply:you can go to the doctor, there are prescriptions for excess sweating. if you dont want to go, try Secret's clinical deodorant.
Reply:Instead of deodorant use anti-perspirant
Reply:You need antiperspirant rather than deodorant-the doctor should give you some extra strong antipersirant, but you can get various strong expensive ones in supermarkets like tesco/asda wallmart. Failing that look at the link below for an electronic device to reduce sweating.

Sweating less?

I'm in highschool, i'm 16. i have 7 periods a day, and my weight lifting class is 6th hour, and i have a chemistry class RIGHT after it, so i always go in sweating profusely. i know im probably out of shape, but i was wondering if there is anything specifically that could help me sweat less. i also realize that i'm a teenager, so i probably am going to sweat, but i sweat ALOT. i'm not so worried about underarm stuff, just i have sweat dripping down my face, its bad. any advice is welcome.

Sweating less?
i noticed that most sweating occurs mostly AFTER you had performed a physical action , ex after weight lifting. strange...

have a really hot shower after an exercise.
Reply:Not much to do about this, maybe where less clothing so you stay cooler, and drink cold water during your work out.

Are you working too hard? Maybe a less intense workout, but I don't think you want that :)
Reply:If you're putting in a good workout, you will sweat. Leave your body time to cool down afterwards. Also, try taking a cooler shower... to avoid shocking your body, start with a warm spray then slowly make it cooler as you go along. Sweating is your body trying to cool itself down after exertion, if you cool it down through other means you will need to sweat less. You can also trick your body some by placing a cool cloth across the back of your neck, this causes a lower temperature to be registered in the body's natural thermometers.
Reply:shower after you work out and eat less sodium. But it wont help to much

Question about sweating at the gym?

i do 30 min tred mill, (starting to sweat quite a bit), 40 min on the bike (drenched in sweat) 10 min (rowing) saturated, it covers all my back and all my front rolls off my face and arms. the thing is is that this doesnt bother me, but when i look around the gym, nonone else sweats like me?, why, does nonone excert themselves as much as me, is sweating at the gym, to be seen as really un cool and unhygineic? it is really starting to bother me as i just dont see anyone sweat as much as me. Maybe im one of these people that just sweats alot? but surley wouldnt there be more people like me then?, i think that people look at me because of it as well, but im not sure, nonone has said anything, i am 27, fit and healthy, athletic figure male, i wear black to try and disguise it, i like sweating alot, it feels endurance like to me, thankyou very much

Excessive sweating, HELP!!!?

If someone is close to me I automatically start to sweat. And I don't do it because I'm nervous it just happens. Here, I'll tell you what happens. Someone comes close to me to talk %26gt; I start to feel my sweat glands getting wet %26gt; I start to sweat %26gt; then the fact that I'm sweating makes me nervous that that person thinks something is wrong %26gt; I start to get nervous %26gt; sweat even more... you get it. So what can I do to prevent sweating its ruining my social life! Can I use antipersp-rant on my four-head? Thanks.

Excessive sweating, HELP!!!?
your body may be producing to many hormones....or your blood pressure rises to much. go to a doctor and have them check you out....and save the social life.
Reply:does it only happen in social situations? you may want to get your thyroid levels checked. sometimes thyroid 'issues' cause excessive sweating.

Sweating problems..ahhh!?

so i have this sweating problem, where if i read a loud in class, i get nervous and hot and then eventually sweat bullets...and then if i do something embarassing i sweat..or talk to someone that i just met i get hot and sweat...even if i talk to friends ive known for a while i sweat and i dont even wear hot clothes! what are some ways to over come this ? it might be nervousness or something...i have nooo idea and im not that fat either....its really embaressing!

Sweating problems..ahhh!?
Sounds like nerves, it used to happen to me all the time. Try and practice giving speeches in front of friends and family before you give it in front of a class. Also, maybe get some clinical strength deodorant to wear on speech days. Try to wear clothes that won't show a stain as easily like sweaters or other knits. Never wear cotton or T-shirts.
Reply:I sounds as though you have social anxiety disorder. talk to your doctor about it and you will most likely be put on med to help...

Sweating Problems!!!!!!!?

I need some perspective on this issue. I have a sweating problem. I seem to sweat even when the wheather is not hot. When I take a short walk around the block, I start to sweat a lot. If i sweat a lot, I turn really red in the face. it is totally embarassing. Does anybody know what could cause me to sweat so much. My doctor says there is nothing wrong with me. Any ideas?

Sweating Problems!!!!!!!?
get a second opinion. my friend was also like that and they gave her a certain medication to put on the sweating area. it helped a lot.
Reply:First of all how old are u? And second of all, there are ppl that have these kind of conditions, I would go see a dermatologist and see what they think. It has something to do with your glands.... You body might be changing or growning again? So if your sure it's not that make an appointment with the specialist... Good Luck....
Reply:I have the same problem. It is good for your health. Prevent you form many deceases. However homeopathic medicine has good remedy for this. But I shall suggest you to not to tale any medicine it may cause complications. When you sweet a lot Take a glass of plain water with a two pinches of table salt and few drops of lemon. It will protect you from dehydration and cramps. At least I do the same.
Reply:I'm the same way, I even started sweating just reading your question.
Reply:see a dermitaologist, they'll give you medication and after that chill watch a movie, play some games, move to switzerland and start your own cheese company
Reply:hi, l have a simular problem to the piont l couldnt wear nice clothes, theres a deoderant available at chemists called driclor, it has a higher aluminium content than ordinary ones, you may get a slight irritation for the first day or so but this goes away and you should find after a few weeks you only need to use it now and again, basically its a over active sweat glands, also ask for your doctor to do a thyriod and hormone test as this is sometimes a cause of excessive sweating, good luck and do try this as the long term results a great l have been using driclor for around 8 years and probally use it once every two months.
Reply:I also sweat very easily. There are many reasons for this. One is obesity. If a person is overweight, it is harder for his or her body to stay cool, and sweating is how the body attempts to regulate temperature. If you are fat, you will sweat a lot. You may also just be out of shape.
Reply:have been suffering from this for 20 years. I wish I knew.

Yes it is totally embarasing. Give up all smoking, junk food and coffee. Try decaf green tea, and some health food stores pharmacys have an herbal sleep relax formula with valerian, hops, shullcap, etc.

These products help somewhat.
Reply:If your doc says there is nothing wrong with you but it is very troublesome there is a surgical option to eliminate the problem its called sympathectomy. Basically they cut into the sympathetic nerve. It is effective for facial sweating and redness as well. Look into the pros and cons discuss it with your Doc ,there may be other better treatment options around now. Good luck.

Sweating Problem Age 14. Help!?

In the middle of seventh grade maybe around October or December, I notice I have been sweating around my armpits and I did not know until I looked and I felt wettness. I am now turning 14 in June and I hit purity in Aug of 2006 and I hide my sweat by having a hoodie or buying blackt-shirts now. And nothing is working. I usually sweat when I go to school. Or when I am nervous, exicting, scared, or working out. I hate sweating. And I am always worrying if someone is going to see how I sweat and tell everyone and then no one will like me.

I need help!!

btw, I am a girl.

Sweating Problem Age 14. Help!?
there is a product called certain dri that you can get at the drug store that works wonders! it shrinks the sweat glands that are in your armpits and makes it so they can't sweat as much. you put it on at night and after about a week you will start to notice major differences!

good luck!
Reply:I had the same problem, still sorta do, your best bet would be to use an anti-wetness deordorant, something extra strength
Reply:Ummm...ppl sweat. It life..but more during puberty. So you may just have to wait it out.
Reply:I always sweat a lot when I don't exercise. If I sweat it out during a jog, I won't sweat so much the following day. Do exercise to sweat out.

Another reason is that you body is unable to regulate body temperature well. This could be either you are chubby or you are weak. If you are fat, try loosing some weight. If you are weak, take ginseng powder for a month and see the effect.

Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) at certain times of the week - what to use/do?

I have suffered from hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) for many years now, and I have been have iontophoresis treatments at the hospital for my hands and feet, and they used to work. Now I have had this done every month for a year, the effect is now minimal. There is no sweating for a couple of days, but then it comes back.

I have now noticed that during the week, I do not sweat at all or just a little bit. But, at the weekend, the sweating returns, and worse than it has ever been. My armpits now also sweat badly at the weekend, which they never used to before.

The only way of stopping this is if I go outside, then the sweating soon goes. As soon as I come back in, it starts again. It especially happens when I go to my room, on the computer, which I use quite a bit.

Even when I go and play tennis at the weekend, or do some physical activity, I hardly excessively sweat from these areas.

What can I do to improve this? Also, has anyone tried Maxim Sensitive Wipes? Any result?

Thanks

Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) at certain times of the week - what to use/do?
There may be a psychological reson for the hyperhidrosis and this could account for the pattern of its occurrence. The reason(s) may not be at a level of conscious awareness. For this reason, it could be useful to see a clinical hypnotherapist/psychotherapist who could help you to explore some of the deeper issues which may be affecting you.

Look in the corporate boxes in Yellow Pages and send for the therapists' information so you can choose a well-qualified person in your area to help you.

Good luck ~ RJS
Reply:Hi there, I've been working in London Royal Hospital for around 12 years now and have seen this alot before. I have listed some common methods which you may want to try.

Weight-Loss: Hyperhidrosis can be aggravated by obesity, so weight-loss can help. However, most people with hyperhidrosis do not sweat excessively due to obesity

An aluminum chloride solution can be very effective; some people, however, cannot tolerate the irritation that it can cause.

Surgery (Sweat gland suction): A new technique adapted and modified from liposuction. On an out-patient basis with only local anaesthesia, the sweat glands are permanently removed in a gentle, non-aggressive manner.

Talc/Baby Powder: One temporary treatment is talc or baby powder because the powder will absorb the sweat, the only problem is, after a while the powder may become a messy white coating on the place of application.

Cold Water: The tounge has a health supply of blood. The cooling flow of water over the tounge would reduce the blood temperature and, overall, the body temperature.

Sweating Problem, slightly different from the rest....?

I am 15 years old right now, and through grade 9 and as far as I am now in grade 10 I have noticed I have been sweating a lot more than usual in all the normal areas. (My head - sweat from my hair that runs down the sides, and my back and shoulders whenever I wear a nap sack.)

I can never walk to or from school wearing my regular jacket no matter how cold it is with out sweating. It can be ridiculously cold out and I will still sweat.

I think it is because I feel like I am becoming more chubby. I have developed more fat around my chest. I have started weight lifting now (every other day) hopefully to improve my fitness a bit and stop the sweating.

The thing is I don't know if I actually have a problem. I'm not sweating in any weird places.

I also refuse to be take certain prescriptions or any form of medication for it. But what are some things that don't involve medication or buying new socks or any of that stuff that will work.

Will my weight lifting work? Any other exercises?

Sweating Problem, slightly different from the rest....?
u cant rely on weight lifting...

u need cardio muscle excersices etc....

but the answer is your probaly overweight and u need to get healthy.. try that
Reply:the more you work your body the more it sweats. when you build your body up to a tolerance it will not sweat at that point.. you will have to work harder to make it sweat. good luck and take care of yourself.
Reply:well for sweating under your arms, you can go to the doctors and they will prescribe you with special stuff you put under your arms at night

or you can just go to a drug store and look for clinical strenth deoderant.

but it could be a psychological thing now.

dont worry abotu sweating, and get nervous, because that will only make you perspire even more.

just relax.

well i hope this helped!

Reply:IT's probably just puberty, and nobody is the same. I very rarely sweat.
Reply:I would go see a doctor or health care professional. This over sweating might be a symptom to a virus or disease. If it's just sweating, they can prescribe you a medicated deodorant to ease the perspiration.
Reply:A new anti perspirant has been produced exactly for this problem. It is clinical strength but it is over the counter I think it's Degree. Also some talc powder may help in the other areas. If it gets worse or unbearable you need to speak with a doctor.

Does anyone have a Sweating Problem where you'll sweat excessively one day and normally the next?

I'm really curious with my new sweating problems and I wonder if anyone else has expreriences like mine with their sweating...

A few days ago I was extremely sweaty. I was still getting ready at my house and I was already soaked in excess sweat. Even in my car, like my entire face was really sweaty. Besides my face, my hands, feet, and body were all a little bit more sweaty than usual. Then I turned on the AC in the car, but that didn't really help my sweating problem. I made it too work finally, and my sweat made me feel like I was drowning in my own clothes.

Through out the whole day, I was sweating more than normal. When I finally got home from my horrible day at work, I was still perspiring a lot.

Then what's weird is like the next day everything was fine, my sweating wasn't bad at all. My sweating problems are like a perspiration ghost that only comes every few days or so.

Has this excessive sweating problem happen to anyone else?

Does anyone have a Sweating Problem where you'll sweat excessively one day and normally the next?
Hello, my name is Leah and I obviously have hyperhydrosis, and it sounds like you have excessive sweating or hyperhidrosis too. I'm going to be seventeen and I'm a senior in high school. My grandmother has it, and her mother before her, I assume it's in the genes and makes my jeans wet...

My worst sweating problem is that I have sweaty palms, but my sweaty feet are almost as bad and my perspiring armpits can get bad hyperhidrosis too. I constantly wear socks to absorb the sweat. It's almost as if feel uncomfortable without socks on because of my sweating problem.

I don't really remember when my sweating problems started, but I know that in junior high the hyperhidrosis was pretty insane. I was into dancing, and the other girls were really bitchy about my hyperhidrosis and totally wouldn't hold my hand in the routines, jerks...

Overall, through time, I think I've been kinda lucky with the surviving people making fun of my sweating problems though, besides a few catty girls, I have no lasting mental scars from hyperhidrosis.

By now like all my friends know of course... I joke around with them all about my sweating excessively and I also try to make sure my hands are sweatless or as normal as possible. Personally, the hand sweating has been a lot better recently, which has been a totally awesome, no better hyperhidrosis is a happy Leah. These days my excessive sweating visits only when I'm totally stressed, freak'n, warm, when someone pointes out my sweaty armpits or hands or like when the temperature changes quickly.

I've tried my antiperspirants, everyone should try a lot of products for their sweating problems (Drysol, and C-something). However, a lot of the products made for hyperhidrosis burn your armpits like really bad. They can also be such a huge hassle that I stopped trying new brands of excessive sweating treatments.

I did a search however a few months ago and I found this stuff, http://www.megadry.com for excessive sweating or perspiration problems. It's worked and the antiperspirant is painless, you can check out their testimonials http://www.megadry.com/no-sweat-testimon... here, good luck with your sweating problem, it sounds like you have hyperhidrosis...
Reply:Well there are a lot of factors that could play into your sweating problem. No worries, there are a lot of different treatments that can control it, just ask your doctor.I recently started a antiperspirant called Xerac AC, it works wonderfully but it is a perscription. Report It

Reply:i got sweaty hands, and i can't help it, my face, my armpit, my others part seems ok, non sweat at all.
Reply:Hello, I'm Diane and I'm 21, and have had a problem with like excessive sweating since 12. Used to totally sweat a lot if I had to do anything stressful, class speeches or like theatre but not any other time really, except sudden temperature changes my sweating would erupt.

Then in grade 7, one day I totally sweated forever, for without like cause, nothing. Then the nighmare continued, my sweating problem existed almost every day since then. Now my hyperhidrosis, that's what they call it, is mostly in my sweaty armpits. Howevery, now that I think of it, my feet can sometimes get super sweaty too. Feet don't bother me though, cause you can cover up your sweating problem with socks and shoes.

Thinking I was such a freak while in high school, I would go to the girl's room at lunch to hid my excessive sweating and try to soak up some of the perspiration with paper towels. Didn't do much good but I felt better about my sweating problems...

A lot of people who have hyperhidrosis consider wearing black to cover their excessive sweating but I just made sure to keep the arms down, so I kinda looked like a robot! :)

Sweatshirts helped me out too. There are sooooo many types of antiperspirant for excessive sweating, but none of them really worked that well and if there were any results the sweating problem treatment would irritate and be super uncomfortable to put on...

I really didn't know other people had this sweating problem thing until recently... My mother didn't think hyperhidrosis was like a huge disaster cause, like a good mom, she said she never saw any signs of my sweating problems, no sweaty wet spots, nothing... I was like, Mom, it's because my sweating problem never happened at home with the family, duh. My hyperhidrosis, my sweating problems were brought on by mainly stress, worrying, etc., However, just any physical exertion was enough to lead on my sweating problem.

Sometimes like watching films or reading can lead to excessive sweating! I've gone for years being kinda antisocial and unhappy, until I read an article in some magazine about excessive sweating, or hyperhydrosis at my regular doctor's office.

Looked up excessive sweating and hyperhidrosis on the 'internets' and of course diagnosed myself with that!

A couple of years back, my dermatologist suggested drysol. It kinda helped but was really itchy and irritating. I gave it a shot but couldn't stand the feelig. I'd rather sweat a lot than be all itchy. It help with my hyperhidrosis a little.

Like Leah, above, I found http://www.megadry.com/antiperspirant-pu... (megadry) through Google, it's super comfortable to wear, doesn't smell weird and totally works for my hyperhidrosis or sweating problems.

Now sometimes when I get really freaked out about something, the sweat would pour through, however I'm like so happy that I've found something that helps with the sweating.

These days, it's not so much of a problem for me, the sweating doesn't pour out - probably cause I know like what hyperhidrosis is today and that I ain't some total weirdo. Because before when I perspired, I got freaked out because I was sweating, in turn, that would like make me sweat tons more. :(

My sweating less could be because I'm more chill about the sweating problem and more chill in general. I used to be in the arts at school, and like all performances were really tough on me because of my excessive sweating.

Now I don't really perform anymore and that's cut my sweating down in general. Sorry, I'm going on and on about my sweating history... Sometimes by sharing your sweating story, or reading about someone's sweating problem, you get some perspective, good luck and try out a lot of different antiperspirants for whatever sweating problem or hyperhidrosis you have...
Reply:Yeah, I have the same sweating problem. I'll sweat excessively for a few days and then nothing, no perspiration hardly at all for a week. Or sometimes I'll my sweating problems will last for a whole week and then stop for a few days to only return in full sweating force.

I think I have hyperhidrosis or excessive sweating, it's more common than you think. A lot of people around the world have sweating problems.
Reply:I also sweat inconsistently. My sweating problem is like phantom that haunts me, just to remind me that it still exists... It's such a pain in the ***. Excessive sweating should be called annoying neighbor sweating. Doesn't visit all the time, but likes to visit as much as possible at the most inconvenient times...
Reply:Hey! I've had sweating problems for about 8 years. Hyperhidrosis definitely sux, especially with how mean people are growing up.

I used to sweat like tons under my arms and back. I pretty much wore sweats year round and only dark colors during the summer months, so no sweat stains.

Sweating problems are like a total social freak out. You get paranoid about your sweating and then you perspire more!

Last year I got so annoyed, I went to my doctor who diagnosed me with hyperhidrosis or excessive sweating.

He told me it's fairly a common problem and not to 'sweat' about it and laughed. I wasn't laughing.

Anyways, I just wanted to say that I also suffer from it and the sweating problems go in and out of my life. Sometimes the hyperhidrosis is really bad, sometimes the excessive sweating is almost not there...
Reply:Hello, like many of the above, I sweat a ton, like excessively. I'm able to hide the excessive perspiration on the lower part of my body, however, I'm kinda stubborn, old fashioned and refuse to stop wearing any make-up.

The allegedly waterproof eyeliner and mascara sucks, they give me panda eyes after a while. I've been researching antiperspirants and other methods of treatment for hypehidrosis that I can live with.

I don't ever wear foundation, obvoiusly 'cause of the sweating problem, but I you know, I cannot live without my compact. Tried like so many sweating treatments, but if I tried to use my compact while I was perspiring, it would transform the powder orange, like a really bad orange. Damn sweating!

At the MAC store, the sales person helping told me about their "Blot Powder". Doesn't make you orange, however if you are using it while sweating, especially if you have a sweating problem, then you got to change the bad because of bacteria from perspiration.

To combat She Lac by Benefit seals the make-up which keeps it from running. You can can use it for all eye-make-up and your eyebrows in addition to the above...

I just thought you guys would like to know about the above since you're all girls... And yes, I sweat a lot for a few days and then not really at all, it's a real problem, my sweating and I guess I'll try this megadry stuff for my excessive sweating.

Sweating non stop.. sweat glands?

I think its a disease. My mom has it and both my older brothers have it.

I just start to sweat, especially on hot days, i sweat an ocean!!

I wear just a tshirt and i'm sweating and you can see the whole shirt is already wet.

My friend didn't believe me becuase I always wore a sweater, and i sweated alot

But she saw me sweat with just a shirt on so she knew that it was abnormal

What can I do about this? Is there certain medication to treat excessive sweating?

Any help would be appreciated

Thank you

Sweating non stop.. sweat glands?
Excessive sweating is a sign of vitamin B12 deficiency. Eat more foods rich in this vitamin - organ meats such as lambs fry and kidneys, low fat milks, cheese, fish and eggs.

If you are a vegetarian then supplementation for you is a must. Go buy yourself a good quality multi B complex tablet including all the B vitamins - so necessary for adequate neural and immune health. ie: B1, B2, B3, B5, B6 and B12.

Other symptoms you may have of B12 deficiency are headaches and migraines, fatigue and exhaustion, constipation, insomnia, dizziness, inability to concentrate, moodiness and irritability, nausea and vomiting, tingling and prickling and numbing sensations in the outer extremities ............. quite an extensive list hey!! Quite scary though if you are unaware of the vitamin factor.

GOOD LUCK

Spirulina, in tablet form, is also a good source of B12 for vegetarians.

Sweating for no reason HELP!!!!!!!!!!!?
i had EXACTLY the same problem when i was a younger (about age 12).

i would definitely suggest you talk to a doctor about this. it could be just that one day you sweated a bit more and realized it for the first time, so the more you worry the worse it gets and it goes from there. so everyday you worry "am i gonna sweat a lot today?" and then from all the nervousness and anxiety you do sweat, and there you go.

or, you could have a condition called hyperhydrosis. it's a fairly common condition. it's simply that there is something funky about your excretory system, so that you just sweat more. it might be your armpits, your palms, your back, your feet, any one or a combination of more than one of those. it is more like that this is your problem than just nerves if you have a combination of them. for example, when i used to sweat a lot it was armpits and back (but luckily the back was only in the summer--i just sweated on my back more than other people i knew).

whatever the case, your doctor can prescribe you prescription antiperspirants, which usually you put on at night before bed, then you can apply your regular deodorant in the morning. or, you can get various regular deodorants to help. secret clinical strength (an overnight product) is more expensive at about $8, but you can also get other brands that work well too for much less, like maxim works well.

i found that if i said to myself every day "ok, i'm NOT gonna sweat today" and then i made myself not worry about it, that after a little while (a couple weeks) it seemed to be under control and i stopped sweating as much. the more you worry, no matter what the cause the worse it gets.

it could also be just hormones and part of puberty. my problem started when i was about 12 or 13, but now i'm 19 and it's quite gone. i think you just gotta "grow into" your hormones and then your body fixes itself. just don't worry about it and it'll fix itself.

and interestingly, i found that if i bought 2 or 3 different brands of deodorant at the same time and (not on a regular schedule or anything) switched the brands--like monday-tuesday used secret, wednesday-saturday used arrid, sunday-monday used maxim, tuesday-fiday used arrid, etc.--it seemed to sort of confuse my body into staying drier.

right now i have used dove deodorant for the past few months and i haven't had a problem at all (a few months ago using maxim i was still sweating a few times a week.)
Reply:its puberty. get deodorant.
Reply:have you told you parents maybe you should see a doctor cause that is not normal for your age good luck
Reply:well are u nervous a lot? if you are you could have anxiety and you should go see your doctor and get medication for that. if you really are embarressed by it then go to the doctor and get meds. dont be embarressed to go to the docs though trust me they have seen worse. gl hun
Reply:try to do things less if not then use alot of deoderont and as many showers as u can get and in two weeks you will be fine.happened to me.....
Reply:deodorant

wear thin clothes (no sleeves)

see a doctor because thats abnormal
Reply:If you're sweating too much you might need to see a DR could be a sign of something wrong. Although some people just sweat more than others so check this site out: http://certaindri.com/
Reply:i am 16 and have the same problem it started wen i was 14 and i hate it i do have some deodorent i bought online called maxium it works pretty good you put it on at night just google it and its 20 dollars so talk to ur mom about it. and wen i get older if i still have the problem i am getting botox in my armpits i saw that on tv and it stops the sweating for 9-12 months so i will be doing that well i hoped this helped and trust me u r not the only one that sweats my ex-best friend has the same problem
Reply:get secret clinical strength it works good
Reply:get your hormones checked and bloodwork done just incase. maybe its just stress or anxiety and you get medication to help with that. it isnt that uncommon. you do seem a bit young though, so maybe its just puberty and your hormones are all crazy right now.
Reply:i went through the same thing ..get deoderant one that is both anti persperant and deoterant ...if that does not work there is a new deoderant out its called secret clinical ...its about 8 dollars or so ..but it works well and if that doesntt work go to the dr and he or she can help you find something that works for you

good luck
Reply:yea try using antiperspirant deodorant
Reply:i have the same problem, ill sweat for no reason even if im outside in the freezing cold i can still break out in a sweat.

anti-prespirant deodorant only made it worse for me but it could definitely work for you

i always wear tank tops with loose fitting hoodies if i know im going to be wearing that for a while
Reply:Hi, these things will help you a lot: avoid junk food, especially fried and salty ones, avoid using excessive clothing( like heavy sock, hats, sweaters when warm, etc.), keep your hair tied up, and use a deodorant for pre-teens, you might find it in pharmacies such as cvs and rite aid. good luck. you don't have a problem, you just doing to much of what I've mentioned before.

Sweating Problems? Help please!!?

So I'm 18 and still in high and I sweat like weirdly, I've tried soooo many different soaps and antipersperints. Now I don't just sweat when I'm nervous or when its hot, I still like sweat in the winter and it's so gross, I can't stnad it, so i usually wear a big sweater to just cover cause you can see it under my arms and I hate it..... Somedays though like I won't sweat at all and it will be hot htough, so its weird... any help, anythign i could use or should I go to a doctor or what? Summers coming and its hot here where i live and I want to be able to wear cute shirts without sweating and without worrying about about sweat showing on my shirt.... I'm 5'4 and I weigh about 110, so its not like I'm big or anything, and my sweat doesn't stink though thank god, cause sweat plus smell would be worse but can you please HELP!!!

Sweating Problems? Help please!!?
omgah you have to try certain dri if you haven't alraedy. its seriosuly like awesome.

if you have already and that doesn't work which i betcha it will...

you can go to your dr. and have a serious talk with him and he can inject botox under your armpits... its a little extreme btu it makes you not sweat for like a few months. if your sweating is that bad then this might be the answer.

id go to the dr. just to check that its not caused from like an imbalance or whatnot. but try the injection stuff

celebs use it before red carpets bc duh they dont wanna sweat and bc it doesn't leave a mark or anything

i hoep this helps.
Reply:Try Certain Dri. I know several people who use it and it helps a lot. Good luck
Reply:I would be weary or some of the more drastic measures. I sweat quite a bit, and looked into some of the options allthough not too seriously. The prescription soaps/ antisersperants could help, but your body is sweating for a reason. To keep its temperature down. It also seemed that a lot of the localized medical procedures are only of little help, because more often than not Even tho the treated area is improved. The body will increase persperation in other spots to "make up for it". Hope this helps a little

Sweating? WHY???

Sweating has always been an infuriating part of my life over the years. Whether it's hanging out with friends, meeting new people, doing HOMEWORK (what the hell?), or whatever. It never fails, once I start sweating every relaxation exercise seems to fall short. Maybe I'm not giving it enough time, I don't know.

I took some kava kava an hour or two ago which helps, but now I'm sweating again. Why? Who knows.

How the hell do I stop this sweating? I feel so helpless/uncomfortable when it happens and it doesn't stop until much later sometimes.

Is this something I tell my psychiatrist? I want to fix this without pills but then again, who knows? The funny thing is, there really isn't a lot of stress/drama in my life right now, so where this sweating comes from is as good of a guess as any :(

Sweating? WHY???
Have your thyroid checked. Tell your general practitioner about it and ask about "hyperhydrosis" also.

Ok i have sweaty feet. lol this sounds gross and it is. ive tryed using like goldbond and stuff but nothing really slows or stops it, any tips?

Sweating?;-)?
Vent ya feet where thin socks and shoe's i have a similer prob
Reply:well do u wear socks?

u should try the sports ones sold at ***** sporting goods or any sportting goods store

they r made to dry them and keep them sweat free! lolz

and and when u do buy the socks still put the powders in theshoes!
Reply:Soak your feet in a big bowl or tub w/ tea bags. The tea extract drys your skin at your feet a little so they can sweat less.
Reply:The fastest way to get rid of foot odor is through the use of Tannin tea leaves. I mentioned Sage Tea in my last email. That one works well too.

Tannin, which is found in tea, is a drying agent. Sage Tea in particular is an astringent. Boil three or four tea bags in one quart of water for about 10 minutes. Then add enough cold water to make a comfortable soaking temperature.

Soak your feet for 5-10 minutes a day. Start out soaking for only a few minutes and adjust the time according to how your skin reacts to the tannin.

Don't worry if the skin on your feet tans a bit. The stains will wash out with soap and water. You'll notice in just a few days that your feet will feel dryer and the odor will have disappeared.

Sweating.....?

I've used every kind of deoderant out there...gel, cream, spray, men's, women's..nothing helps. It's in one spot under my arm and it's always causing a wet spot on my shirts. Any homeopathic or natural usings come to mind??

Sweating.....?
try certain-dri, if that doesn't work you can go to the doctor to get botox shots to stop your glands from producing sweat
Reply:if you havent tried the roll on deoderant MICHUM or MICHAM [forgot the exact name]

does work for a lot of people.. and its in a green bottle, its a roll on good luck
Reply:i have the exact same problem!!
Reply:You might try Secret new clinical strength antiperspirant. Maxim is another option, though pricey (http://www.coradhealthcare.com). Believe it or not, you can get botox injections for your underarms that will stop sweating, but they need to be repeated every so often (http://www.botoxseveresweating.com/info_...
Reply:i used to b the same way until i used dove ultimate clear deoderant and i no longer have that prob.its the only thing that has ever worked 4 me and it smells rlly good.
Reply:Hey, I have excessive sweating too, it sux, I felt like I tried every antiperspirant and deodorant out there too, but like I did a search and found this stuff for my hyperhidrosis: http://www.megadry.com

Yeah, it works for me, that's all I can really say, it seems to be working for a lot of other people too.

There are some homeopathic ways to reduce sweating too, like eating in small amounts often throughout the day, exercising regularly, breathing exercises and yoga seem to help to becuase both of these seem to reduce stress which will set off your excessive sweating.

Certain Dri stings and it gave me a rash, so I tried a bunch of stuff after that. Well, anyways, good luck.

Sweating...?

i tend to sweat very easily. i mean im not dripping, but it is noticable. is there anythiing i can do to lessen it?

Sweating...?
There is this deodorant that is called Certain Dry...they don't carry it every where but they do at Meijers...

It closes the sweat glands under you arm pits and you won't sweat there any more. You put it on every day at night time...and after it gets to working by day three or so you wont sweat but you have to continue to put it on for ever...but you can lessen it to every other day after a while...

It is a great product...I seen it on tv and then looked every where to find it...

It works great...

No more wet marks on tight shirts...
Reply:Try Drysol. Ask for it at the pharmacy desk. It is amazing. Totally leaves you dry all day.
Reply:I have a similar problem... I use men's deodorant because it is stronger and works better. Over it, I put I think layer of women's deodorant so it smells good too. Ive found that women's deodorant does not work as good as men's.
Reply:If you mean that ur sweating alot under ur armpits, there is an anti-perspirant out called "Certian-Dri" that is 12% Aluminum Chlorylhydrate and no other ingredinant in it. It is hard to find in the drug stores but I know "Rite-Aid" and "Eckerd" carries it in a generic version. Trust me, this crap works.

Sweating?!?

I just started yoga thats in a heated room like a sauna. I sweat alot during this and im wondering how much weight i will lose if i do this for 30 days?

Sweating?!?
Depends entirely on your body. There is no "one formula fits all" equation to give you a definitive answer to your question. If weight loss is your goal, compliment your new aggressive exercise plan with a nutrition program to help you achieve your fitness and weight loss goals.

One thing is a must, however, hydrate yourself with good old fashioned H2O! Carry a bottle of water wherever you go...put down the pop and pick up the water. You'll feel like a kid again with the energy boost you'll have...and besides, it's very necessary with all the water you're losing in that heated room.

Good luck!
Reply:Not a good idea to start yoga or any exercise in such a heated room. you might want to move to a well ventilated room that is more comfortable. Once you decide for yourself that you are consistently doing yoga/exercise, you can go to the next level of pushing yourself.

Sweating??

I have a really bad skin condition where my skin is super-sensitive and i sweat ALOT during gym class but i am allergic to every single deoderant brand i have tried and i have really literally tried over 40 different brands!! also i cant use anything that sticks to my skin because even sensitive skin bandaids or anything like even tape makes my skin break out into nasty painful blistery rashes!! help??

Sweating??
Try plain old baking soda.

It's a deodorizer, yet not full of chemicals.

Sweating....?

Everytime i do somthing ... like workout or do garden work or any hands on work i sweat................ is that good or bad?

Sweating....?
it's a normal body function. exertion usually causes a person to perspire.

if your hygiene is in order, it really isn't a problem.

"worry is like a rocking chair. it gives you something to do but doesn't get you anywhere."
Reply:I don't really know but i sai it is good and its really annoying isn't it?
Reply:It just means your body is cooling itself down . . . do you have an office job or are you constantly in climate controlled places? (anywhere w/ a/c) Adaptation to air conditioning makes you sweat worse when you do get hot.
Reply:its ur bodys natural way of mainting a safe temperature so you dont get dehiderated but the more you sweat you should also drink more and if its really bothering you so much go see a doc cuz they can give u a prescripton to lower ur sweating level
Reply:Well it's not a bad thing. I sweat a lot too, it's just your body is quite sensitive. Besides, sweating do a lot good things on your body.

Sweating...........?

i sweat alot under my armpits, and it goes threw my shirts sometimes. its nasty. what can i do?

Sweating...........?
There are several options that attempt to treat axillary hyperhydrosis; some of these methods of approach have proven more successful than others. The first step usually taken is to try a prescribed topical antiperspirant. The powerful chemical found in these prescriptions is aluminum chloride, usually between 20-25 percent in an alcohol solution. The aluminum chloride prevents the sweat from escaping the pores (http://www.sfderm.com/body_undrarm.html)... If the case of hyperhydrosis is heavier than light, the antiperspirant may very well not be effective. There are additional options yet they all come with drawbacks. (http://www.parsec.it/summit/hyper1e.htm)

One of these options that is not extremely convenient for problems in the axillary area is to use a battery-powered electric current under the arms in twenty minute intervals every few days, gradually increasing the time between intervals to every-other week. This procedure is referred to as “iontophoresis.”

Glogau asserts “oral anticholinergic drugs such as glycopyrrolate” (1998, p.817) have been tried by dermatologists to cure hyperhydrosis, yet they have not proven successful. And although psychotherapy may be recommended, it will not usually be an aid to treating primary hyperhydrosis because it has been proven that it is not a psychological disorder. However, secondary hyperhydrosis may be treated successfully by psychotherapy. Primary hyperhydrosis is different from secondary hyperhydrosis in that there is not another disorder linked to hyperhydrosis. Secondary hyperhydrosis is a side effect of another disorder. “Secondary hyperhidrosis can be associated with obesity, menopause, drug use (antidepressants), endocrine disorders (htpoglycemia, hyperthyroidism, pheochromocytoma), and neurologic conditions involving autonomic dysregulation…” (1998, p.1237). “Alternative therapy including homoeopathy, massage, acupuncture and phytotherapeutic drugs” (http://www.parsec.it/summit/hyper1e.htm) have been used to experiment with many sufferers, yet these remedies have not proven successful. (http://www.parsec.it/summit/hyper1e.htm)

There are a few surgical options if the above treatments have not alleviated the excess sweating.
Reply:I had the same problem. I try a free sample of secret clinical strength deodorant. It really worked. Go to secret website and try a free sample. It help alot.
Reply:Hyperhidrosis can be caused by food allergies, or a mineral/vitamin deficiency. I had the ETS surgery done, it's very expensive.

I had hyperhidrosis (and a few other symptoms) for many years and went through all the usual treatments. Anticholinergic drugs, applying topical solutions, botox, and ETS surgery. The surgery was most helpful but several years later hyperhidrosis began to return.

Years later I was diagnosed with celiac disease, along with a few food allergies. I eliminated wheat, dairy, and sugar from my diet and stopped all prescriptions. I began taking supplements:

- Vitamin B complex

Contains 50mg of every B vitamin plus Folic Acid

- Mineral complex

Contains Magnesium, Calcium, Iron, Zinc, etc.

Sweating...?

Hi. I bathe, apply spray and roll on antiperspirant every morning, as well as dousing myself in perfume, But an hour or so later my armpits are soaked! It doesn't appear to smell strong because I asked my mates and my family to be honest and they insist that I don't and nobody is avoiding me or anything - maybe it isn't sweat? It's embarrasing and uncomfortable and it shows through my clothes - can anyone recommend anything to help me? It only seems to be my armpits - nowhere else!

Sweating...?
Many people have this, 1st see your dr. you could have a medical condition overactive sweat glands for example. I dont know your age, but some women have a area they sweat more there than any other, this can be hormonal, also is this stress related, do u notice any time its more than usual, example under stress, menstral etc. If your dr.finds nothing, and deodorant is not helping, as well as perfume, 1st dont apply alot of perfume in the area, believe it or not it could cause sweating, the ingrediants can burn and make your glands sweat, I would try the natural alternative, there is a deodorant crystal has great results, visit your health food store, or a vitamin store that carries natural products, talk to a person there about the crystal for your problem, also ask is there a natural supplement w/ good results.
Reply:Cut your arms off, then all you can wear is vests!!! then it wont show!
Reply:odaban i suffer the same thing and swear by it:

www.odaban.com

or if doesnt work go and see ur local gp and they will be able to help xx good luck xx
Reply:I hate to say it, but there is a medical condition which causes very over-productive sweat glands. Check it out with your GP - I think there'S a very simple operation you can have which will stop the problem.
Reply:Go and see your doctor!

You could do with a strong anti-perspirant... possibly try a mans one...
Reply:IF YOU SUFFER FROM DEPRESSION THIS CAN CAUSE SWEATING! ADD MORE SALT IN YOUR DIET!
Reply:You will probably need to speak to your GP they might be able to recommend something else for you that will work better than shop bought products
Reply:this a medical condtion.sorry i cannot re. the name see your gp. or if you have enough money you can get botox injections into your armpits, this stops sweating for a few months.
Reply:try alternating different anti persperants, i was on one that was really good but then i started sweating so i moved onto Sure and god thats excellent, but it could be just coz i have changed, try Sure its really good! if u start sweating try a different one, i think its the alternating thing that works. too much of the same and it wont work.

Reply:lose weight, its ur bodies way of getting rid of excess water
Reply:have your armpit's hair shaved at regular interval that may help
Reply:i know that there is medicated deo u can buy but did u know wearing lots of perfume wont help it will make the problem worse. In the mean time buy some deowipes so u can freshen up anywhere, hope this helps.
Reply:I used to have this problem too, and I assure you, it has nothing to do with your hygiene. My doctor actually told me that it had to do with nerves and hormones. Even if you don't feel nervous about something, subconsciously you might be. I was actually given a prescription antiperspirant that you put on at night and wash off in the morning. It was I believe a 10% aluminum chloride prescription. Ask your doctor for it. After about a year of using it, I stopped and the problem had seemed to go away. This was about 5 years ago.

I hope that link can help you too....Good luck
Reply:First of all im sure you don't smell bad at all, but im sure the sweating is a real and serious problem for you, Firstly it is possible that you may be overweight? I don't mean to be rude or suggest for a second that you are fat but even those who are slightly overweight can suffer from this.

It is also possible that you are applying too much anti perspirant which is coating your armpit and not allowing warm air away from the skin and so making you sweat more, try using less even for one day when you are off.

Other than these options it may be a hormone imbalance which causes you to sweat more a discussion with your GP might help, they may be able to offer better options. I hope you can find help and some relief from your problem.

Good Luck
Reply:sounds like hyperhydrosis. your doc can send you to a specialist who will inject your armpits with botox. i had my forehead, back, chest and armpits done and it had absolutely no affect whatsoever but it is supposed to work for most people.

Sweating???

Hi

When I go to school we have to wear light blue shirts, made from cotton, that makes sweat marks etc REALLY visible in summer.

Although i wear a anti perspirant/deodarant i still seem to get bad sweat marks...

Any ideas on how to reduce/get rid of this problem?

Thank - you!

Sweating???
Use this product called Cert Dry. Or you can get an off brand at CVS. You use it at night and it dries up the sweat glands. But don't alot one or two rolls on each arm, anything after that will burn/itch really bad. I've tried the stuff that Secret made and it don't work so don't waste $9. If this doesn't work, your dr should be able to give you something. Its the same stuff that's in Cert Dry but more stonger. Hope this helps.

:)
Reply:Go to your dermatologist and get a prescription strength antiperspirant. Secret makes one, but there is nothing out there for guys.

Sweating...?

I sweat...what i consider an unusual amount...im always concerned if my deodorant has worn off, because I hate the smell of bo and i don't like other people to have to smell me.

I don't know what deodorant/anti-persperant to use, that might last longer or stop the large amount of sweat in my underarms.

Sweating...?
I use a perscription anti-persprint which works wonders. I only need to apply it once a week and I do not sweat hardly ever from my armpits. It works great I suggest you get it from your doctor. I used to have sweat stains under my pits and did not want to lift up my arms. Now it is no problem.
Reply:eating more beef makes ur sweat more odour..

taking bath twice may help u control sweat.

cotton wear, cool drinks are some other times
Reply:I sweat proably just as much as you if not more, but one day I had to uses my wife's deodorant. I have been using it ever since then. If it works in the burning hot Iraq sun it can work anywhere. Its Secret Clinical Strength. Who cares if it for woman. It works.

Sweating??

I seem to sweat loads and always end up with sweat patches even if im not hot. Is there anything i can do to try and stop this? I use dove original and boots body spray

Sweating??
Try using a deodorant soap such as Dial or Safeguard.

Next, see your doctor. Injections of Botox in the underarms stops the sweating.

There's also a prescription anti-perspirant/deodorant. Your doctor can write you a script for it.
Reply:this is a question that needs to be expanded. how old are you? is it possible that your'e going through your change? have you had a hysterectomy?
Reply:You don't mention the use of an antiperspirant. Soap cleans the body, the body spray makes you smell good, but neither will stop or prevent the sweating. Try an antiperspirant, Dove makes them too if you want to stay loyal to the brand name, but there's like 1000 others out there. Dove works for me and smells kind of nice too.
Reply:sweating is a natural thing, i dont use anti persperants as i heard it can be very bad for you in later life.

You shouldn't stop your body sweating when it needs to. i know it aint nice, i sweat alot too, but i just wear a good deoderant, if your body needs to sweat it will, if you stop it from sweating with these sprays it causes problems with you when you are older, so i wouldnt bother.

xXx
Reply:I am the same as yourself only I get it on my feet and sometimes it is embarassing when you need to try shoes or something on I got a rollon from the doctors and it was pretty goog it was called adrihol forte or something similar to that try and find out the proper name as a question on here someone is bound to know it and you can use it also on your armpits obviously not on both at the same time

hope this helps
