Sweating and acne....?
When you're done working out, wash your face. Sweating is good, as it releases toxins. The problem is when you allow sweat to dry on your face after working out.

You have to attack acne where it starts, with your diet. For me, diet was the cause and solution. Topical medications fight the symptoms. Start by eliminating trans fats and eating more fruits and vegetables. Once you start cleaning up the inside of your body, by eating properly, the outside of your body (your skin) will be get cleaned up too. I started a website to document my problem and solution.

You might find it helpful to read my story. Just remember to eat an all natural/organic diet with lots of fruits and vegetables. Stay away from processed foods. Use mild, all natural cleansers and don't pick at your face. Get lots of sleep and enough water for your body weight. Remember, clean body = clean skin. While you're waiting for your skin to clear, remind yourself that acne is a challenge that you will overcome soon. Once you're rid of it, tell all your friends how you did it. That's what I'm doing. God Bless.

Reply:Sweating causes your pores to become clogged, allowing the bacteria already on your skin to start creating pimples. In order to prevent this, after every mile you run, get a wet paper towel (just water) and wipe off your face. This wipes off the sweat even if its dried, allowing oxygen to get into your pores, which will kill the bacteria. As long as you do this, you should be fine! You could also try a mattifier, which isn't always good to use, since it is for people with oily skin, who need to stop producing oil. This will cut back on some of the oil and sweat excreted, but I suggest just wiping it off, this way you dont dry out your skin. Hope this Helps!
Reply:Just make sure you wash your face immediately after you work out. Also, be sure to moisturize. Dry skin leads to overproduction of oil, which can lead to more breakouts. Arbonne has a good moisturizer with SPF 8 in their RE9 line. Check it out at the website below.
Reply:Acne is not directly related to sweat. But... for example under your arms, the reason we wear deodorant is to keep the sweat from building up in a warm dark place where bacteria can grow. From the bacteria we get the smell in the area.

Same sort of thing with acne, the sweat and warmth are favorable places for bacteria to grow and cause acne lesions to occur. Your best bet is to keep your skin free of any bacteria while sweating. Wash your face before you work out and apply a water based moisturizer with tea tree, witch hazel, or some sort of antibacterial ingredient in it. Also, immediately after you work out wash your face again to rid it of any potential bacteria.

DO NOT be tempted to touch your face with anything while working out unless it is disposable or washed with bleach before hand... this is a common cause of breaking out during a workout!

Good luck
Reply:put on body powder to keep away acne and shower directly after your workout.
