Sweating problem?

My problem is I do and always have sweated quite a lot. Once I went to a doctor and he described it as extreme or hyper sweating. Usually it does not cause a problem except for situations where I will have to shake hands or touch something in view of people. Is there something that safely prevents sweating?

A little background info...

I tried the Drionic system but that really became a chore to electricute yourself for 30 minutes each night.

I tried Drysol with gloves as recommended but then people advised the gloves could lead to me developing an alergic reaction and now I hear drysol by itself could cause problems

I was on Rubinol for a short while? Maybe I should try to get back on? Anything else out there?

You need to change your diet.
Reply:Wow Ive never thought about it,till now.
Reply:I am not clear if this is mostly your hands and armpits that are over sweating .. or your whole body ? If it is sweating all over your body ..Ask a Dermetologist about a medication called: Glycopyrrol. 2mg. morning / 2mg. night. Apparently it used to be used for people who were being treated for ulcers, but has a side affect of keeping the body dry. Good Luck ! :)
Reply:not sure but i found this site

Reply:I highly recommend a product called Certain Dri. You can buy it just about anywhere that regular anti-perspirant is sold. You apply it at night (your skin has to be completely dry). It shrinks your pores overnight and keeps you from sweating for up to 72 hours. I have read that it can be used on the palms of your hands, too. This product really works!
Reply:With the Drionic machine you can do two 30 minute sessions each day... on average you have to do 7-9 hours (a few have to do up to 10 hours of it but 7 worked for me) of the treatment before it will work... then after a week or so only do a one hour treatment weekly to keep it from coming back.

I know it seems like a lot, but at least you will not have to use any medication. once you get those 7-9 hours out of the way, using it once a week isn't so bad.

now, in case you are interested, I saw this product claiming to stop sweat for 7 days at a time and it won't break your bank:

I have a major sweating problem. i need help?

i always sweat too much, especially in my armpits. every time i go to somewhere, it looks like i just got out of the shower, but in reality it's all sweat. i don't know what to do. i've tried every possible deoderant brand. i went to the doctor none of it helped. i still sweat excessivly and its embarassing. i get made fun of constantly for my sweating problem. i have no friends. would putting duct tape on the inside of my clothing underneath the armpits stop embarassing sweat from getting on my clothes? if not what should i do to prevent sweat from coming up on my face and clothes?

If you are willing to risk thirty days and a healthier lifestyle you can do what I have been doing for the last 13 years. Stop eating as much red meat and pork as possible. Stop eating all junk foods. Stop at once drinking any sodas, they are the number one cause of osteoporosis in women and men.

Start eating more fresh vegetables and more fresh fruits for snacks or desserts. Start drinking more organic fruit juices. Drink between 6 and 8 bottles of pure water every day and walk. Walk at least two miles every day to start and work your way up to five after work or school. Your body will change in tremendously great ways. You will have more energy, more stamina, more vitality and more mental acuity than most everyone around you. Do this forever. You will remain healthy with rosy skin and young looking when you are well past middle age. I do. People tell me I look like I am in my late 40's early 50's. I turn 60 in a couple of months. Do this, it works and you will never be happier.
Reply:Well I don't know a cure to that, but, Have you tried everything to clog up your pores?
Reply:certain dri. certain dri. certain dri.

it helps with armpit stains, i promise you.

1-3 strokes per night.
Reply:maybe your dermatologist was stupid and didnt know how to do anything, so maybe you should check out another derm. and soon, cuz ur problem doesnt sound very happy...

and dont worry about not having friends - you'll always have us here!
Reply:So I'm assuming the prescription strength deodorant didn't help.

As far as the duct tape goes, I wouldn't recommend it. There are products out there for that very purpose that are adhesive, absorbent and allow air to circulate. You would have to order online.

Google the term "hyperhidrosis" and search the various products that are offered for the condition.

Have you considered botox for you underarm area?
Reply:Try using an antibacterial soap and drink lots of water-hope thta helps;););)
Reply:There is actually a procedure that can be done to stop the excess sweating. Talk to a doctor about it. I'm surprised your doctor didn't suggest it. Call around and find someone (a physician) that performs the procedure.

Also, try the new Clinical Strength Secret deodarant. If that doesn't work, try the Vichy brand deodarant. (You can search online to locate somewhere close to you that sells it.) My clients swear by the two!
Reply:sounds like your pores are to open you can clog them by puting baby oil in your bath every day for about 3wks i know that sounds like a long time it takes time to clog your pores after you get out the shower or what ever put deodorant first than put powder and not just under your arms but if you have any rolls or folds slide powder there to this should really help good luck!!!!! oh the duck tape no.
Reply:A deodorant will not stop or slow down your sweating, it only attempts to mask the odor that results from sweating. Buy any antiperspirant/deoderant. The antiperspirant part of this product will drastically reduce your sweatng and you will see the result almost right away.

Try it out!
Reply:my Friend had the same problem and she went a dermatologist and she gave her this special stuff 2 put on her arm pits and she doesn't sweat any more but u can also get botox put there and it will stop

Sweating from hairline?

How can I stop sweating from hairline? When I work out, I quickly start sweating there and I look awful. My hair is completley soaked with sweat even if I'm not that exerted! please help!

Sweating from hairline?
I completely relate to you! I sweat so bad, I have a towel which I wish I could just permanently stick it to my head! I really don't do anything about it but bring a towel to dry off a little. Keep your hair up and off your forehead. I start sweating bad within 5 minutes and I workout for 90 minutes every day and have for years and I'm soaked by the time I'm done and that's just the way it is...it means your healthy and working hard...keep at it :)
Reply:u can uuuuuh wear ah head band

Deodorant causing armpit sweating?

I've tried different brands of deodorant and antiperspirant and when I apply it, it makes my armpit sweat later on! Even if I don't sweat at all during the day from heat or exercising, my armpit alone sweats just because of the deodorant. I did an "experiment" where I stayed at home for a couple of days with no deodorant on and my armpit didn't sweat at all. Then when I applied it back, it started sweating!

What's going on here?

Deodorant causing armpit sweating?
Go without then?
Reply:it sounds like you may be having an alergic reaction to the deodorant.

i have an alergy to those clear stick deodorants. i didn't have it diagnosed, i sort of figured it out on my own.

i switched to the white deodorants and have had no problems since...
Reply:You may have some sort of reaction to that certain deodarant. I would recommend that you try solid deodorant, they usually leave you feeling super dry.
Reply:It's water. Try using a swedish underarm crystal. They are pure aluminum. You can get them online.
Reply:I'm not sure, but Certain-Dri is pretty awesome at stopping sweat. Even works during the summer when I work at camp in over 100 degree heat.
Reply:The deoderant you're using is having a bad effect on your pores, probably causing some unnoticed (or noticed) irritation to them. If the pores in your armpits are being irritated they don't close as in cold weather they open because of the heat that irritation is causing. If the deoderant is effecting your pores that way then they are probably not helping your sweat glands much either.

You could see if any other deoderant works better for you but it's probably going to be a recurring theme.

Sweating problem?

I have a big problem with sweating a lot on my face mostly. I use anti-perspirant deodorant on my armpits, which helps there, but I seem to have gotten this problem of sweating profusely on my face from my dad. It's not related to my weight, and it's only really in moderate to heavy heat and humidity. I don't even have to move around too much before beads of sweat start dotting my face, and it's also making the skin of my face very oily. It's very embarassing, especially since our house is too big to have air conditioning anywhere else than window units in the bedrooms, and I can't just stay in my room all day. Help!

Sweating problem?
before you leave your house dab baby powder all over you face especially your nose...so when you sweat the powder absorbs it...but make sure its spread evenly.
Reply:im trying this new product, its called "Maxim" you have to order it online. There are two type of maxim, "maxim sensitive" and "maxim" its about 13 dollars. SO, far its working for me. do some research on the product firstt before buying it. Report It

Reply:botox stops sweating
Reply:I'm going to watch this one. I have the same problem, only I sweat at the back of my scalp. i can spend a half hour on my hair and have it be dripping wet in less than five minutes.
Reply:Try powder or even alcohol. Or even try finding an oil free lotion for your face. good luck
Reply:Drink more Water!

thats what my friend does..

Sweating problemo?

Recently i've started sweating and i don't kno why. My doc says it's just a phase which it probably is but in the mean while waht do i do? My sweating goes through my shirt but not alot it's really mild. I've tried products for people who have that sweating disease like certain dri and secret clinical but it doesn't work for me i still have that little half circle under my arm that u only notice when i raise my arm. Any ideas?

Sweating problemo?
After you put deodorant on you can use baby powder, they also sell underarm pads just for that.

You can buy them in stores that sell lingerie and underwear. it's a small pad that just sits over the armpit of the shirt and you get them in the colour of the shirt so it's not noticeable.

It absorbs your perspiration and prevents it from going through to your shirts. When you take your shirt off just wash it well so it doesn't retain any odor.

A lot of people have the same issue, your not alone!
Reply:rub baby powder under your arms.
Reply:Bring a towel to school, and tell people that you just got out of swim team practice or PE.
Reply:Soft and Dri, Dri Clear gel is the best but ask your Dr. about hyperhidrosis-that's what i have. I was born with it but u could get it later. The only cure is Botox injections in that area. (it's an excessive sweating disorder.) Hope u don't. I have it in my hands as well. And go to a different Dr.

Sweating badly?
I feel your pain.... have been struggling with this for many years. Go to the doctor. You have what's called hyperhydrosis. There is a solution called Drysol that you apply that lasts for several weeks. It's actually also available online and on EBAY, so talk to your parents about it. It costs about $15-$20 per bottle. It's a wonderful product and will solve all these problems... I've had them all.
Reply:Aw, I'm sorry.

I would suggest you try Certain-Dri.
Reply:dont worry im a guy and my doctor gave this stuff that stopped it for like 12 hours. Just ask your doctor
